For the buttercream, I mixed 3 sticks of very, very soft room temperature SALTED butter with 4 cups of powdered sugar, some Tahitian vanilla extract, and a dash of heavy cream. Mix it until it’s super, super soft and pliable. I mean, it’s decadent but it’s a baby shower. C’mon.
I dyed the frosting with my favorite food coloring, these guys. A little bit goes a loooong way. This was about 3 drops, and it’s even a little darker than I wanted it to be.
Finally, the sugar decorations and cupcake papers are from Fancy Flours. They have some great sales!
